From 26 August - 31 August 2021, 2,652 people were referred to the Public Prosecution for not wearing masks, 571for not adhering to physical distancing, and 42for not downloading EHTERAZ on their phones. A total of 3265 violationswere recorded from 26 August - 31 August 2021.

From 26 August - 1 September 2021, the total number of deaths recorded was 1 on 27 August.
In recent weeks the combined impact of COVID-19 restrictions and increasing vaccination rates, and the overwhelming support of the community, have resulted in a consistent reduction in the number of new daily infections in the country.
However, it is still important to be cautious as the second wave is not yet over and there are still two highly contagious and highly virulent strains of the virus that are actively circulating in the community.
Phase Three of the Gradual Lifting of Restrictions began on Friday 09 July 2021 and is part of a four-phase plan to be delivered over the coming months.
The date of implementation and the duration of each next phase will depend on the epidemic indicators, which depend to a great extent on the degree of compliance of the community members with the current measures, restrictions, and guidance by the government.
For now, it is important that people, including those who are vaccinated, continue to wear a mask as advised and maintain social distancing.
COVID-19 vaccines currently accepted in Qatar
The following COVID-19 vaccines are accepted for entry into Qatar as per the Ministry of Public Health's announcement on 8 July 2021. Travelers fully vaccinated with the above-specified *conditional vaccines will be subject to an antibody test on arrival if the result is positive with antibodies, exempted from quarantine; otherwise, the traveler must undergo applicable quarantine based on country of departure and perform COVID-19 PCR tests upon arrival.
Approved vaccines: 1. Comirnaty by Pfizer BioNTech 2. Spikevax by ModernaTX, Inc. 3. Vaxzevria, Covishield by Oxford-Astrazeneca 4. Janssen/Johnson&Johnson (only one dose)

4,454,401 COVID-19 vaccine doseshave been administered since the start of the program.

The Ministry of Public Health's online registration form for the COVID-19 vaccine is open to citizens and residents who want to register their desire to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Here are some important tips for people taking the COVID-19 vaccine, as said by MoPH official: - If a person had come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, the date for taking the second dose should be delayed for 14 days from the date of contact. - The person will be fully protected from COVID-19 infection after a week or two from taking the second dose of the vaccine.
Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Home Healthcare Service (HHS) is administering the COVID-19 vaccine to its registered housebound patients to protect them against the disease.
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) clarified that there is no evidence that any of the vaccines can affect the fertility of women or men.
Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) announced that the Women's Wellness and Research Center (WWRC) has launched a Virtual Consultation Service to answer questions related to COVID-19 vaccines and pregnancy. Users can call the hotline on 3343 8436, from Sunday to Thursday, 8 am to 2 pm.
The Ministry of Public Health has established a call center at the National COVID-19 Contact Centre (16000) which is dedicated to answering questions and inquiries related to the COVID-19 virus and assisting the elderly aged 60 and above in accessing a range of key services.
The new Qatar Vaccination Center – for Business and Industry Sector as the Center began operations. It is one of the largest vaccination centers in the world.
From 18 June 2021, drive-through COVID-19 swabbing will operate from 4 pm to 11 pm at select health centers, according to Primary Health Care Corporation.
The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) had announced that people can now book their COVID-19 vaccination appointment via its bilingual Nar’aakom App.
MoPH has urged the older unvaccinated citizens in Qatar to call PHCC on 4027 7077 or HMC Home Healthcare Service call center on 4439 0111 to book their appointment or visit the Ministry of Public Health COVID-19 website.
The latest statistics published by 'Our World in Data', a scientific online publication compiling COVID-19 vaccination data from around the world, shows Qatar is ranked second in the world for the percentage of the population that have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose, among countries with a population of more than one million.
Ministry of Public Health urges people over 60 years old and who have not received COVID-19 vaccination yet to call 4027 7077 and book an appointment.
The Ministry of Public Health also confirmed that all people aged over 30 are eligible to receive the vaccine in Qatar.
The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC), has announced that the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) approves a third vaccine dose against COVID-19 for individuals with Immuno-Suppressive Conditions.
COVID-19 vaccination certificate and EHTERAZ App
All individuals who have received 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine will automatically have a vaccination certificate available for them in the MyHealth Patient Portal.
According to MoPH, 7 days after the second dose of the vaccine, a Golden Frame will appear around the QR code in the EHTERAZ App. In the “Vaccination” tab, your vaccination details will be displayed after 7 days from the second dose, including the date of the doses and the name of the vaccine received.
Quarantine and travel information
MoPH mentioned that people undergoing home quarantine who have a vaccination appointment scheduled during their period of quarantine should contact PHCC on +974 4021 7077 and reschedule their appointment.
To ease the precautionary measures previously announced for those entering Qatar, the ministry has announced that registration on Ehteraz Platform is now optional for citizens and residents, while registration and obtaining prior approval remains mandatory for visitors.
The Embassy of India, Doha, announced in a tweet on 31 July 2021 that the Air Bubble Arrangement between India and Qatar has been extended for the month of August 2021.
The Ministry of Public Health in Qatar has posted the revised green list, yellow list, and red list countries. This list is as of 23 August 2021.
Tests approved by MoPH
The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), updated the list of health facilities that have been approved to conduct the COVID-19 PCR test. There are now a total of 96 health facilities that have been approved.
MOPH updates COVID-19 testing protocol and approves new tests for the private healthcare sector. They are Rapid antigen testing, Antibody testing (Rapid, Anti-N and Anti-S assays), and Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing.
MoPH granted privileges to people previously infected with COVID-19 within the past 9 months from 28 May 2021 as part of Phase One of the Gradual Lifting of COVID-19 Restrictions.
As per the Cabinet announcement on 4 August 2021, all employees in the public and private sector to continue to oblige to conduct a rapid test for the Coronavirus (Rapid Antigen) approved by the Ministry of Public Health, on a weekly basis, for employees and workers who did not receive or complete doses of the (COVID-19) vaccine. Workers who have completed doses of the COVID-19 and those who have recovered from the disease are exempted from this requirement.

With COVID-19 still a threat to our health here in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:
Adherence to physical distancing.
Avoiding close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate.
Wearing a face mask.
Washing hands regularly.
People should take the COVID-19 vaccine at the earliest opportunity when their turn comes.
Anyone suffering from COVID-19 symptoms should contact the 16000 helpline immediately. This is important as the earlier disease is detected the easier it will be to receive the right treatment and recover from it.
