The "conscious" campaign was launched by the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs on April 5 to educate employers as well as expatriate workers on various procedures in different languages.
H.E. Lolwah Al Khater, the Spokesperson for the Supreme Committee for Crisis Management drew attention to some examples that are taken in this framework, including continuous communication with labor representatives of different communities and with different embassies in the State of Qatar, and the adoption of a policy to protect workers and reduce the spread of the Coronavirus, in addition to preparing a basic information document for employers, and the production of awareness films in different languages, as well as the continuous cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health through continuous checks and the allocation of facilities, expansion and increase the capacity for receiving patients.
Concerning hotlines and complaints at the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, H.E. said that the Ministry provided a hotline to receive complaints, which received more than 10,000 calls, including 8,590 calls from employees on inquiries and others, and 1,633 calls from employers. She added that the number of complaints reached 1,328, of these, 742 complaints were dealt with and 586 complaints under reviewing, stressing that all this is in the interest of the employers and employees as well.
