As part of the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus, several banks in Qatar have announced that they will no longer accept requests in their branches for services that are available through the digital or remote banking services. Other banks are encouraging customers to make use of telephone banking, internet banking, and mobile banking as well for the safety of the community during these times.
This is in addition to the closure of bank branches in malls and shopping centers which was announced on March 17, 2020, and the reduction of operating hours on their remaining branches.

As per the Government directives the following changes will take place effective Thursday, 2nd April 2020:
Working hours at our Branches and Collection Centre will be as follows: From 7.30 am to 12.30 pm, Sunday to Thursday. Branches will be closed on Friday and Saturday.
In a text message sent to its customers, QIB announced that: "In line with the precautionary measures taken by the State of Qatar, which includes the ban of all forms of gatherings; QIB branches will not accept applications for services that are available on the QIB Mobile App, Internet Banking ATMs and Call Center 44448444.
For your safety, we urge you to use our 24/7 channels for all your banking needs without the need to visit the branch."
As part of the latest country’s precautions measures, kindly note that effective Sunday 5th of April, our operating branches will open from 7:30 am to 12:30 noon, from Sunday to Thursday.
According to its website, Doha Bank is encouraging customers to replace their physical visits to a Doha Bank branch with safe and convenient Alternative Banking Channels that are available to use remotely at any time.

"According to precautionary measures, starting Sunday 5 April 2020 only Al Mirqab, C-Ring Road, Um Lakhba, Al Khor and Wakrah Branches will be operational from Sunday to Thursday, 7:30 am-12:30 pm. For your health and safety complete your banking transactions at home through our Online and Mobile Banking services and our Contact Centre available 24/7. All cash deposit/withdrawal and cheque deposit for individual accounts will be available through our ATMs."
