Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has decided to stop physical attendance at outpatient clinics in all HMC hospitals from Wednesday, Feb. 10, due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases in the State of Qatar.
HMC explained that the doctor will, instead, telephone the patient on the day of the appointment and has urged patients not to come into the hospital for appointments.
According to HMC, the doctor will arrange a face-to-face appointment, if needed and the patient will be informed by the clinic.
HMC underlined that this measure was being taken for the protection and safety of patients.
