250 new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, 16 new recovered: MoPH

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has just announced the registration of 250 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and has stated that 16 more people have recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of people that have recovered in Qatar to a total of 109.

Some of the new cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) infection are related to travellers who recently returned from abroad or for those who have been in contact with these travellers. The new infected cases have all been placed under complete quarantine, and they are receiving all necessary medical care.

The MoPH also conducted laboratory tests for 3,538 people in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of coronavirus (COVID-19) tests to date to 31,951.

The MopH calls upon citizens and residents under home quarantine to strictly adhere to the specific requirements and quarantine procedures. The Ministry stressed the importance of staying at home and physical distancing in curbing the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Qatar.​
