151,373 persons benefit from Qatar Charity's campaign against COVID-19

The number of beneficiaries of Qatar Charity's (QC) contributions in the awareness and prevention campaign against the Coronavirus (COVID-19) reached 151,373 persons.

Qatar Charity, in cooperation with the concerned authorities of the country, has distributed health and awareness bags, food baskets and other materials to the beneficiaries, including workers, and volunteers participating in raising health awareness.

The health bags and foodstuffs were distributed in many areas, including industrial areas, and the Quarantine Center in Mukaynis.

Approximately 79,780 ready-to-eat meals were distributed over three periods, in addition to 38,326 food baskets, of which 34,926 were provided in the industrial area only. Some 33,267 health and awareness bags were distributed within the industrial areas, other external places, farm compounds, construction sites, and labor camps.

890 health bags were distributed to the workers of the Doha Municipality, in the presence of representatives from the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, and volunteers of Qatar Charity, in addition to 6000 meals at the Quarantine Center in Mukaynis and 600 food baskets at many embassies and communities.

Some 12,350 health and medical materials, including sterilizers, masks, and gloves were also disturbed to health awareness workers.

The instructions also included avoiding contact with persons who have symptoms of respiratory illness like coughing or sneezing and avoiding non-essential travel.
