Demand for hand sanitizers have been high for the past days and many people have been talk about the shortage of sanitizers in the market. It may seem that we have an 'out of stock' problem, but that's only because of the sudden high volume of consumption which caused this temporary scene.

Qatari companies are constantly producing hand sanitizers to ensure they are available and you may have already spotted them in some supermarkets already. We have seen them in Carrefour and Lulu Hypermarket but more supermarkets may have them too.

Prices vary depending on the size of the bottle - it starts from QAR 9 up to QAR 36 for a big bottle of 500ml.

Qatar Tribune reported on Tuesday, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, in coordination with various authorities concerned, is working to meet all the needs of the local market and also stated the inspections to control prices and prevent monopolistic practices.

Washing hands properly works the best so if you have the access, make sure you wash your hand rather than relying on sanitizers.
