Some companies in Qatar require their employees who contracted COVID-19 to submit a medical certificate to be able to file in their sick-leave dates.

The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) requires anyone who tested positive for COVID-19 and has mild and moderate symptoms, to undergo home quarantine for 10 days. After 10 days of home isolation, your Red status on the EHTERAZ app is expected to turn Green.

The sick leave certificate for this period can be obtained in the following ways:

Visit your registered Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) to get the sick leave certificate printed by producing your Qatar ID and Health Card.

They will then print a copy of your official Medical/Sick Leave Certificate stating you were unfit to work for 10 days, which are the days you were on home isolation due to the coronavirus infection.
