Today, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has issued a decision to re-impose certain restrictions on commercial activities which includes prohibiting the use of hookah/shisha in all restaurants and cafes operating in the country, from 8 January 2022 till further notice in light of the latest COVID-19 restrictions in Qatar effective 8 January 2022.

This decision comes in light of the current health conditions and in line with preventive measures to curb the spread of COVID-19 and the Omicron variant

The MOCI urges all agencies and individuals to follow preventive measures to ensure their safety and that of their community, and refer to the website of the Ministry for all information and resources.
