The Ministry of Public Health updated its website with the new list of countries classified as low risk of COVID-19. This change will come into effect starting August 15, 2020. The Government Communications Office announced on its Twitter account August 11 at 11:15 pm.
The Ministry also emphasized that "one week stay in the low-risk country from the traveling date is required for consideration for low-risk country exemption. In the event that the traveler stays less than one week in a low-risk country, they must follow the policies applied to arrivals coming from outside the low-risk country."
"As the State of Qatar continues to implement its travel policies, the list of low-risk countries has been updated based on public health indicators in Qatar and around the world. Changes will come into effect on Saturday, 15 August."
According to the quarantine and travel policy announced by GCO last July 22, arrivals to the State of Qatar from low-risk countries are required to:
