In a post in its official social media accounts, the Ministry of Interior has announced that it has started using Al-Asas security robots to educate the community on the importance of preventing gatherings. The robots will also monitor the violators of this decision during its rounds as it is equipped with fixed cameras.

The Al-Asas security robots have a face recognition feature connected to the government database in the National Command Centre (NCC). Patrols will be done in residential neighborhoods and public areas to create awareness on the importance of preventing public gatherings and monitor compliance.

Earlier, the Ministry of Interior has launched an awareness campaign for the communities residing in Qatar using drones.

These are the forms of gathering banned by the power of the law, in accordance with the decision by H.E. the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior to prevent the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
