In its official Twitter account, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced that it is extending the return and replacement period for goods and merchandise. This is due to the closure of retail stores in malls and shopping centres, as part of the efforts to limit the spread of coronavirus in the country.
"We would like to inform all consumers about extending the return and replacement period for goods and merchandise and not to count the closing period within the time period specified in the policy of each store, due to the issuance of the decision to close retail stores in malls and shopping centers"
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry is urging consumers to report any violations of its decisions by calling 16001 or emailing infomoci.gov.qa or through its accounts on social media sites.
