A statement from the official Twitter account of the Supreme Judiciary Council reads: "Within the framework of the preventive efforts and measures taken by the State of Qatar to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), and in the interest of everyone's safety, and after coordination with the relevant authorities in the country, the Supreme Judiciary Council has decided to suspend the hearings of the Court of Appeal, the Court of First Instance, the labor dispute settlement committees and the rental dispute settlement committees for a period of two weeks, starting from Sunday, March 15, 2020.
The judges' work will be continuing with regard to urgent matters, temporary matters, and the setting of new dates for the adjourned sessions, bearing in mind that the Court of Cassation will continue to consider its sessions on the dates specified in advance.
