The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) announced today that "Google Cloud" recently joined the "remote" business initiative launched CRA by the at the end of March in cooperation with key players in the communications and information technology sector in the State of Qatar by taking a set of measures and offering packages of technology services to help the remote work system easily and safely, as part of the precautionary measures in place to curb the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).
The CRA said that "Google Cloud" will support companies in the State of Qatar to work remotely easily and safely by providing free access to a number of services and tools, including the "Meet" application for advanced video calls to all (G Suite) customers until September 30.
The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) stated that (G Suite) is an integrated package of solutions that include (Gmail), calendar, and the application (Chat) while (Google Meet) includes secure video meetings, and the ability to collaborate in real-time via documents, spreadsheets and presentations.
In addition, Google enables free access to learning resources in Google Cloud, such as the comprehensive catalog of training courses and hands-on labs on "Qwiklabs" and interactive webinars for 30 days, to be registered before April 30.
The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) President Mohammed Ali Al-Mannai praised the joining of the "Google Cloud" to the initiative launched by the CRA, which supports the efforts made by other partners of the Authority to contribute to reducing the spread of the virus, where communications and information technology is the ideal solution to reduce face-to-face meetings and facilitate remote work safely during this period.
He said that all cooperate to support companies in the State of Qatar to work remotely to ensure their business continues smoothly without interruption and their growth in the business market at the same pace, praising all the CRA partners for their efforts and great cooperation during this period.
Companies in the State of Qatar can apply for these products and services by communicating via e-mail with the head of partners in the Middle East and North Africa region in the Google Cloud, or by contacting any of Google's partners.
