This fort is located in the North West of Qatar. It dates back to the 19th century and was renovated in the 1980s. The remains of a village can be found nearby. The clue for the name of the place lies in the word ‘well’.

Three sides of the central courtyard of the fort are aligned with narrow rooms, without windows and doors that open onto the light and a spacious courtyard.
