About the role:

Qatar Airways has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Events professional to manage Qatar Airways’ events and exhibitions including new destinations and product launches, major air shows, group-wide and internal events.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • End-to-end management of assigned events including the planning process and preparation to ensure excellent and controlled execution
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the area of events and exhibitions
  • Prepare and manage the yearly events and exhibitions budgets in line with Qatar Airways’ corporate strategy
  • Prepare and secure budgets for assigned event and exhibitions and ensure effective use to avoid unnecessary expenditures. Ensure that all events, exhibitions and associated projects are executed within assigned budgets.
  • Manage relationships and interactions with various HQ departments, field offices and Liaise with third party vendors such as event management companies, contractors, hotels, venues, organisers and suppliers to ensure all logistical and operational aspects of each event and exhibition combines to create experiences which result in best-in-class across the airline industry.
  • For each event, develop a detailed resource staff planning roster to avoid unnecessary deployment times and to maximize efficiency/productivity.
