You probably noticed that Arabs dont typically use their left hands. That's because it's the dirty hand. It's the hand you use to wash up down there. The right hand is what you should use for eating, shaking hands, and just interacting in general. The right shoulder is where the angel sits and the right side is the right (correct) side. Now take that left hand away.
If you're a Leftie, we love you too! This isn't saying lefties are bad or that Arab lefties don't exist (Mr. Q was born a leftie)! Just explaining why traditionally arabs use their right and why some people won't accept shaking hands with the left :)
It's like how in certain countries people drive on the left and people drive on the right. Whether you are a leftie or a rightie, you still drive on the right in Qatar.
Don't forget, there are some left handed people, who prefer to use their left. It's not wrong, it's just that the left is commonly used for cleaning so it's best to use your right for shaking hands or eating. Nobody will hate you for using your left, it's normal, some people are born lefties. We're just sharing what's been the tradition so you understand why right is most commonly used. :)
