Emir visits site of upcoming National Museum of Qatar

Qatar Museums’ landmark Fire Station Artist in Residence programme concludes its second year

Qatar Museums’ (QM) Fire Station: Artist in Residence programme, a landmark initiative designed to grow the next generation of artistic talent, has opened its End of Residency exhibition, titled Unfolding Creative Methods, which celebrates the accomplishments of the 20 talented artists that have been in residency at the Fire Station for the past nine months.

Meet the artist behind the viral image of Emir

Many have put stickers on their vehicles, some wear t-shirts with pictures praising the country and leadership, a big number of citizens are changing their DP on various social media platforms. 

In all this effort one image has gone viral across platforms. An image of Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani with “Glorious Tamim” written in Arabic calligraphy style has been adopted by all. This image, created by Qatari artist Ahmed bin Majed Almaadheed, can be seen all over Qatar – online and offline.
