A lot of people used to travel to the US or to the UK in order to get a recommended degree. However now that Qatar has developed so much, a lot of people are traveling to Qatar! The level of education is quite high and it's setting the standard for higher level education in the Middle East.

Qatar is developing it's Education City. What's unique about this is that it's essentially a 2,500Square foot campus that integrates various universities together. Universities include, Virginia Commonwealth, Weill Cornell Medical College, Texas A&M, Carnegie Mellon, Georgetown, Calgary, and the Qatar Academy.

I've tried to compile a nice and simple list of the grounds and grouped them up in terms of the type of school it is. Special thanks should go to 'Mystica' for providing a major portion of this list. I've also tried to make a list of what ever University student should prepare for when coming.

NOTE TO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

On Campus Accommodation:
The lovely thing about the accommodation of universities in Qatar is that they're fully loaded! They usually come as a shared flat, dining room, living room, and kitchen, fully furnished with cable tv, ac's, internet access, telephone service, and the kitchens are loaded with dishwashers, microwaves, etc...  The average price is around 1700, (or 230 GBP) a month).

What to bring:
When I studied in the UK, I learned that it was always important to have the following with me at all times.
1) An organized folder which should contain your important documents
2) A photocopy of your passport
3) A copy of your university acceptance letter
4) The address of where you will be staying at
5) The university's contact details

Trust me! It'll help you A LOT in the long run. If you ever get stuck, you'll be safe with this information!
