One thing that Qatar is proud of is that it is one of the safest countries in the world. Qatar has a VERY low crime rate! As with every country, I always recommend you still take care of your stuff, but Qatar is so safe that when I go to the supermarket on a hot day, I leave my car on and do the shopping then come back.

Qatar Police:
People say that Qatar Police is one of the best in the Gulf. It's service with a smile. Police will always help you no matter what your problem. For example, you can search online and find many happy stories from people saying that the police helped them push their car and charge their battery for them, or help change a tyre, or even lending you their mobile phone to make a quick phone call! That's nice of them!

Qatar Police cars:
Since Qatar has many rich people in it, it's no surprise that many people have fast or expensive cars. In order for the Police to catch people driving fast, the traffic police drive BMW M5s, BMW X5s, Mercedes ML500, Lancer Evolutions, and other great cars. So you always know that they're going to catch people who drive too fast! ^_^

Police Presence:
Unlike many other countries, Qatar's police presence is felt throughout the country. So there will always be help when you need it.

Security:
There are security police that usually drive jeeps that drive around making sure that everything is fine and safe. If there is a fight or someone is doing something that can hurt someone, it is their job to stop this and make sure everything is peaceful! I wish we had this in England!

Health and Food:
Qatar is VERY strict with health and food regulations. There have been no incidents of any diseases within Qatar due to this. So there are no risks to be concerned about whatsoever.

Milk is pastuerized and filtered.
Meat is usually lean and can be cooked in any way.
Qatar's tap water is not recommended for drinking like some countries because it is not filtered for drinking, although 75% of homes have their own water filters.
