Former Saudi foreign minister Saud al-Faisal dies

Former Saudi foreign minister Prince Saud al-Faisal has died, two months after he retired following 40 years in the job.

A statement from the Royal Court on Thursday said Prince Saud, who was born in 1940, died in the United States. No cause was given for his death.

Two jailed in Qatar Foundation bribery case

Two senior employees at the not-for-profit Qatar Foundation have been sentenced to five years in jail and ordered to pay a $823,000 (QR3 million) fine for soliciting a bribe from a private company.
