Are you always looking out for the next makeup trend, the latest way to get your skin glowing and sparkling? Interested in the latest releases in the makeup world, wanting to try out all the new products people have straight up been raving about? Then maybe you're already intrigued by all the new indie brands on the market! Those started by YouTubers, bloggers and celebrities? A lot of these brands don’t usually have a long life, but lately, they’ve been all the rage. If you’ve heard of Huda Beauty, you know what I’m talking about!

The blogger turned inluencer/businesswoman launched her own makeup brand after gaining popularity online and has since been a force to reckon with in the world of beauty. Not only do her new releases get sold out within hours, she keeps us on our toes, releasing product after product. Starting with her lashes, she soon moved on to liquid lipsticks and in no time, was redefining the world of eyeshadow and highlighter. Hers became a standard to match, and she wasn’t going to stop there. Her latest product is the FauxFilter Foundation, which you best believe is like a real-life Snapchat filter. The high-coverage foundation will smooth out and cover all the imperfections on your face and have you looking your best.

While Huda Beauty has definitely upped the game when it comes to indie brands, celebrities aren’t far behind. Rihanna recently launched her makeup brand, FentyBeauty and let’s just say she is in the game and she is winning it. FentyBeauty launched 40 shades matching a variety of skintones. There’s one for everyone, which is what gave the line most of its initial success. Women from around the world flocked to their nearest Sephoras to match their shades and grab a bottle before they ran out. She also came out with contour and highlight sticks as well as highlighters, which have been extremely popular among beauty lovers. Not long after, FentyBeauty also revealed their 2017 Holiday collection which got people even more excited! The collection features eyeshadow palettes, glitter eyeliners, lipglosses and more.

Makeup brands are definitely being transformed around the world, be it a Middle Eastern entrepreneur redefining the world of makeup, or a world-renowned, beloved celebrity introducing inclusive products to the world of high-end makeup.

Both Huda Beauty and FentyBeauty products can be purchased at Sephora in Qatar.
