Barcelona Spain March 06- High level meetings between Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker and senior officials of Catalonia have taken place in Barcelona on the back of yesterday’s announcement that the airline is to be a strategic partner of football giants FC Barcelona.

Doha March 06 :Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting ( GOIC ) contracted with Daman Health Insurance Qatar LLC company to provide health insurance services for staff members and their families for the year 2013, through contracting with the network of Hospitals, medical centers and clinics inside and outside State of Qatar.

Consolidated Gulf Company (CGC) has once again launched its popular Nokia bundle scheme, gifting up to QR 100 shopping voucher of Centrepoint on the purchase of select Nokia mobile phones. Nokia’s latest flagship Lumia 820 smartphone is being offered at QR 1599 with QR 100 Centrepoint voucher, while Asha 308 with QR 50 voucher is given only at QR 339. Giving consumers value for their money, CGC is offering over a dozen Nokia models with gift vouchers.

Qatar has lined up a total of 21 new hotels for the next five years as part of adding up 45,000 additional hotel rooms to its existing capacity. This would be Qatar’s major efforts to meet FIFA’s projected capacity requirement of 60,000 rooms.

Qatar Airways CEO Akbar al- Baker said the airline planned to operate double flights daily to Barcelona from its current 10 flights a week.

A new law will soon be introduced in Qatar to ensure strict implementation of the ban on smoking in public places, said Dr Mohamed bin Hamad al-Thani, director of the Public Health Department in the Supreme Council of Health (SCH).
