A Katara Cultural Village official confirmed that they are scrapping the entry fee to the beach now that the curtains of the summer season has finally opened in the country, The Peninsula reported.
The price for a single entry to the beach was formerly QR 100 for adults and QR 50 for kids. The move will also allow beach goers to bring their own beach chairs and canopy.
However, those wishing to use the inflatable games will have to still purchase a day pass from the cashier at Gates 1 and 5. A QR 50 day pass is needed for all those above 6 years old to use games. Children under 6 can use them free of cost.
Katara Beach has a wide selection of water sports activities and children's play area where kids can participate in child-friendly water activities.
On weekdays, the entry is from 9:30 AM to sunset and during the weekends, last entry to the beach is until 9:30 PM only, but swimming ends at sunset.
