Qtel yesterday launched a new Mozaic MOB service called Tarjim. Tarjim is an SMS-based translation service which enables customers to translate words and short phrases from English into Arabic and vice versa. All that customers have to do is simply send an SMS with an English or Arabic word or phrase to 2422 and they will receive the translation via SMS. As a promotion, Tarjim service is free for the first two weeks. Qtel Chief Operating Officer Sheikh Fahad bin Jassim Al Thani said: “Many of our customers will find Tarjim useful and convenient. The cost of this service is only 50 dirhams per SMS and it’s free till July 7. Sheikh Fahad said Qtel will continue to bring more relevant and innovative services to its customers throughout the year.
