At this year’s Marriott International’s annual general managers meeting, Doha Marriott was chosen for the Best Food & Beverage Award. This award covers the Middle East and North African (Mena) region.
The hotel in a communiqué attributed the honour to its consistency in exceptional service and quality of the food that it served. Recently at the Time Out Doha, 2010 Best Restaurants Awards, restaurants at the Doha Marriott were nominated for best brunch, best south east asian and the best Indian for Taj Rasoi.
JW’s Steakhouse won the award for Best Steakhouse.
Kazem Shamas, the hotel’s food & beverage manager, said: “I am really proud of the award. It recognised not only the efforts of my team on a daily basis but it also showed that we have great concepts that we follow through with quality. The Doha Marriott Brunch remains the Best Brunch in Doha after all!”
General Manager of Doha Marriott Hossein Garan was also awarded Best GM of the year. He won the honour in recognition of his leadership in his previous assignment at the Marriott Executive Apartments in Bahrain.
