The ILQ team had the opportunity last week to re-visit the Entertainment World Village (EWV) a few weeks after it reopened since Eid Al-Fitr.

Going inside, the same usual sight greeted us. The gigantic and colorful Ferris Wheel is still erected on its original spot, together with crowd-favorites 'Sling Shot' and 'G-Force.'

But what really caught our team's attention is a fresh import that goes by the name of 'Wild Mouse.' We're not sure where the name came from exactly but from the looks of it, it can be classified as another 'kiddy ride.'

But we were totally WRONG!

The Wild Mouse is a type of roller coaster ride characterized by small cars that can accommodate four people or fewer who will ride on top of the track, taking tight, flat turns (without banking) at modest speeds, yet producing high lateral G-forces.

The ride is one of the smaller specimens in the kingdom of roller coasters, but it is by no means to be overlooked. And because the ILQ team is up for any kind of challenge, we tried it for ourselves!

As we climb its several upward slopes, we knew for a fact that we'll be in for a scream fest but not to the utmost extent. During Wild Mouse's last few turns, we were just shouting at the very top of our lungs while continuously wishing for the 'fun torture' to end as soon as possible.

Talking to ILQ, an EWV staff said that Wild Mouse features a number of tight turns through a switchback section, which mercilessly whips the cars back and forth. "Besides these quick turns, it is also common for these types of rides to include a series of 'bunny hops' and quick rolling sections which yield sudden negative G-forces," he continued.

Some safety precautions to keep in mind though:

• Riders must be at least 48" to ride alone. Riders between 42" and 48" must ride with a supervising adult companion.
• Riders must sit upright while holding a lap bar, and have the ability to withstand the spinning forces.
• Riders must step up into the ride car.
• Riders must ascend/descend two or more steps at the entrance and exit.

The Wild Mouse ride is a thrilling coaster experience which adds a whole lot of fun factor! Make sure to climb aboard the Mouse when you visit EWV and wind your way through the maze for an adventure to remember!
