Pencil Portrait Drawing Workshop — Sunday

Have you ever wanted to learn more about drawing? If you have, it’s your lucky day! Katara Cultural Village is hosting a three-day workshop, from Sunday to Tuesday, on how to draw portraits with pencils. Ages 15 and above are eligible to partake in the workshop. It will be presented in English.

Patrick Doyle - A Symphony of Films — Monday

Come and enjoy a live concert composed by Patrick Doyle. This concert is part of the Symphony of Films series, in Partnership with Doha Film Institute and the British Council. Some of the music scores that will be performed include films such as Harry Potter, Bridget Jones’ Diary, Thor, and Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

My Ethiopian Journey — Monday

Kimberley Sheedy has traveled to Ethiopia for many years to work alongside her mentor fellow Australian Doctor Catherine Hamlin in her Addis Ababa Hospital set up to treat the most beautiful but also some of the poorest women in the world. A moving and truly beautiful presentation. Dr Hamlin who is 92 years old has dedicated her life to her beloved Ethiopia, come and hear her story and the story of the women behind the photos.

Structuring Artwork Perception Workshop — Wednesday

If you’re into art and the creative scene, you should probably check out this workshop on artwork perception! The workshop will take place on the 28th and 30th of September, and on October 1st. Men and women from ages 25-40 are eligible to partake in the workshop, ten seats are available. It will be presented in English.
