The Sixth Edition of the Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) 2015, co-organised by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) and Qatar Airways, will dedicate a special zone to celebrate Qatar-Turkey Year of Culture 2015asorganisers their support for the cultural exchange programme between the two countries.

The special zone will host Qatari and Turkish chefs to cook delicious local and Turkish food.

Organisers of the festival are keen to celebrate each annual Year of Culture between Qatar and its respective partner countries participating in the programme, particularly with culinary arts that reflect the civilisation and deep cultural roots of every people.

And every year, the activities will include a cultural exchange programme to bring Qatar closer to the various international audiences.

With a variety of exhibitions, festivals, competitions and other activities, the Qatar Turkey 2015 Year of Culture represented by Qatar Museums Authority will strengthen understanding, recognition and appreciation between countries. The event calls on the general public to explore the cultural similarities and differences, to enhance the exchange of open and innovative ideas.

QIFF seeks to provide an opportunity for Qatar's hospitality sector to present its best offerings of food and beverages, and to highlight the various types of food and their relation with the history of people and civilisations around the world.  QTA launched QIFF in 2010 as part of its efforts to work in partnership with stakeholders in the public and private sectors to plan, organise, promote and develop a sustainable tourism sector capable of offering original experiences to tourists and visitors, particularly families, thus enriching the cultural and entertainment agenda with unique events.
