In a huge boost to Qatari business, Qatar is now the first country in the GCC to become a member of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) through the Qatar Development Bank’s export program.

The EEN is an initiative of the European Commission to support small- and medium-sized enterprises with ambitions for business expansion in the European Union.

What will this mean for Qatari-based businesses? For starters, it will open access for Qatar to an exclusive members-only database filled with business contacts from a wide range of sectors. It will also help to foster and build business ties between Qatar and Europe, putting Qatari enterprises ahead of their GCC counterparts.
