Doha, Qatar, 27 April 2014: Who says the weekend break needs to involve a trip to the airport? With a luxurious beach-front location overlooking the Arabian Gulf, Four Seasons Hotel Doha offers the perfect excuse for a staycation at Doha’s most vibrant city resort.

Guests can look forward to starting the weekend right at Four Seasons Hotel Doha’s highly popular Thursday evening event which is back for its second season, with a brand new lounge-style vibe located on the pier.

Set along the Hotel’s stunning waterfront, The Pier brings together live DJ music and grilled specialties every Thursday from 8pm-1am. Guests can listen to rousing house and lounge music, while taking in views of the warm waters of the Gulf.

“Last year the beachfront party was the talk of town and so we decided to take the concept to a new level this year with a relaxed outdoor set-up on the pier featuring private majlis-style and lounge-style seating, all with a stunning view of the sea,” said Rami Sayess, Regional Vice President and General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Doha.

Guests staying over can make the most of the balmy weather the next morning with a variety of outdoor activities including swimming lessons, beach volleyball, beach tennis, family football and sand castle-building for the kids in addition to a host of other fun activities at the onsite kid’s club Kids For All Seasons, housed in its own traditional wind tower.

The Hotel’s newly renovated Pool Grill restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy a lazy weekend meal, with its laid-back setup inspired by sea tones such as turquoise and bright, deep greens. The nautical theme extends to the weave on chairs, outdoor ropes, stainless steel and wood finishing, echoing the luxurious yachts found in the adjoining marina.

Guests can enjoy delicious grilled cuisine featuring American, Asian, Mediterranean and Arabic specialties. Star dishes on the menu include Omani lobster, wagyu beef burgers and braised lamb shank slow-roasted for 10 hours until it falls off the bone. Adjacent to the Pool and Beach Grill, the emerald green lawns – among Doha’s most desirable locations for private events and weddings – enjoy an impeded view of the sea.

Those looking for something heartier can head to the Hotel’s Friday Brunch, which offers an array of delicious dining choices to enjoy. The main buffet is a showcase of live Asian cooking stations, as well as hot and cold appetisers and a traditional carvery. Guests can also enjoy a range of salads and freshly baked bread, along with a heavenly dessert spread that includes pastries, hot desserts and cakes.

For a great value weekend break, guests can book the Family Getaway Package which includes a full buffet breakfast daily or from a fixed menu through In-Room Dining, savings of 50% on a second room for children, or 50% off every second night booked, savings of 25% on treatments in the Spa, a complimentary 6:00 pm late check-out, a welcome amenity for couples and kids and luxurious accommodations.

The Friday Brunch is available from 12:00 noon until 4:00 pm. Cost for regular brunch is QAR 330 and sparkling brunch for QAR 415.
