Ooredoo has announced the launch of the new 50 Mbps Ooredoo Fibre Plan, which has been designed to ensure everyone has access to affordable high-speed home broadband across Qatar.

After listening to customer feedback, the company designed the new 50 Mbps Fibre Plan to offer an affordable option for Ooredoo Fibre customers who want to enjoy higher speeds at home.

Priced at QR 400 per month, the 50 Mbps Fibre Plan offers download speeds of up to 50 Mbps and an upload speed of up to 25Mbps. On top of the fibre internet connection, subscribers will enjoy landline rental services and the company’s smart entertainment service - Ooredoo tv, included in the monthly price.

Manar Khalifa Al Muraikhi, Director of PR and Corporate Communications, Ooredoo Qatar, said: “This new plan is perfect for our customers who use streaming services or like to download content and play games online. We understand that not everyone wants the same fibre package and speed, so we’re launching a new 50 Mbps option to ensure all our customers’ needs are covered, from our standard 10 Mbps plan, all the way to the super-fast 1 Gbps, or ever 10 Gbps for select customers in Qatar.”

The Ooredoo Fibre network is available across Qatar, with more than 300,000 homes and businesses currently benefiting from super-fast internet and next generation services.

Customers who want to join the “Fibre revolution,” can view the fibre availability map on Ooredoo’s website. The map allows customers to check if they are in a fibre-ready “Green” area and shows customers how to apply for a fibre upgrade.
