Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art is launching a summer programme for students this week, as part of the organisations commitment to host educational and community engagement programmes that stimulate creativity and appreciation of modern and contemporary art in the region.

Presented by Qatar Museums under the leadership of its Chairperson, HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Mathaf’s Education Summer Programme will enable students to explore different art mediums in the Mathaf collection and learn about different concepts and practises in modern and contemporary art through observation, discussion, research and creative making activities.

Throughout the week, students will have the opportunity to experiment with drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media inspired by the museum’s collection – which is one of the world’s largest specialised collection of its kind.
