The Ramadan Souq at the DECC – Doha Exhibition and Convention Center opposite City Center might as well be the most fun place to be this week. With various forms of entertainment, as well as the Islamic Center to educate you further, the Souq is all about lights and beauty. It gives you a very cozy and familiar feel once you walk in and the whole Souq can be covered in less than 2 hours. We have picked our favorite shops for you and you might want to consider paying them a  visit.

Dema – Dema is a Turkish delight shop which will have you stay around for quite a bit.  From Turkish tea and coffee to chocolate and Turkish sweets, you have everything right in front of you. Originating from Istanbul, Dema has spread its wings in Saudi Arabia and now Doha. My recommendation: Try their chocolate!

Tulip Towel – Two words: Cuteness Overload! These towels are all about the most beautiful decorative designs. From the most defined packing to a choice of extravagant colors, Tulip Towel definitely wins.

Harleem -  A shop that originates from India, Harleem has got the most amazingly beautiful decorated bags and khussas. It brings in some Indian tradition and you will find yourself surrounded by plenty of options. The helpful family at the stall will guide you and make it easier to find your favourite.

Trafa – Bring in some color, some mixed tradition and put together some kaftans – you find yourself at Trafa. Coming in various colors to please your choice, the kaftans come in almost anything you want. From a bit of Indian color to some good embroidery, you have an array of options.

Cleopatra -  An Egyptian shop that caught my attention, Cleopatra has bags and decoration pieces one would love if it is your type of a thing. Flaunt a different type of fashion as you carry these Egyptian bags or decorate a corner of your house with these Egyptian statues.

Antiques Corner – The name says it all. Lights, furniture and so much more, this shop is as eye catching as anything could get at The Souq. With beautiful lamps hanging around, Turkish plates, table décor and chairs, you will find yourself lost in the most mystical place one can imagine.

Make up Shop – Apologies for forgetting the name for this one, but you need to check out the shop that has authentic products such a 'The Kylie lip kit' and Lime crime’s products. I was in awe for a good ten minutes as I lingered around and it was a sure thing that it would go on my list!

The Ramadan Souq has more sections that include kids entertainment as well. This is just a review of the few picks out of the 250+
