Chocolatier Galler brings the concept of luxury chocolate boutiques in Doha

Introducing Qatar’s first-of-its-kind luxury chocolate boutique and dining space to the country’s confectionery lovers, Galler Chocolatier Qatar recently hosted media partners and VIP guests for a special chocolate tasting event at its shop, which opened its doors to visitors at the Mall of Qatar in January 2017.

During the gathering, guests were introduced to the decades-long history of world-renowned confectioner Jean Galler, after which they toured Galler Chocolatier Qatar’s unique boutique and dining space, where they got to explore the shop’s exceptional setup and experience its wide range of chocolate bars that cover an entire spectrum of distinctive flavors.

At the age of 16, Jean Galler already knew that chocolate was his life. After studying pastry and chocolate in Basel, then working as an apprentice at Gaston Lenôtre in Paris, he received the title of "Best bakery-pastry chef apprentice of Belgium" in 1974.

Galler trained with the greatest chocolate masters in Switzerland and France, before bringing his own indulgent touch and a vibrant, colorful style to the world of Belgian chocolate. In June of 1976, the young craftsman founded his own chocolate manufactory in Vaux-sous-Chèvremont in the Liège area.

With sweetness and indulgence deeply ingrained in his DNA, Galler went on to introduce to the world, a palate-gratifying range of chocolate bars and flavors that quickly gained iconic status among chocolate aficionados.
