Chef’s Garden is fast gaining a reputation in Qatar as a restaurant leading the way in terms of sourcing free range, chemical and preservative free ingredients and turning them into healthy every day meals. Located at Marwan Club in the grounds of Al Shaqab at Qatar Foundation, it has been successful in promoting a ‘Farm to Table’ concept by growing its own ingredients and partnering up with local farms to bring locally grown produce to Doha diners.

The restaurant itself is an oasis of calm and it feels a world away from the buzz of the city. It offers a light, airy indoor dining space and shaded outdoor seating overlooking a beautiful lawn. Open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner the menu includes fresh breads and pastries, local fish, organic meats, locally grown fruit, vegetables and herbs alongside freshly squeezed juices, smoothies and mocktails and, for those with a sweet tooth, locally sourced desserts.

Corporate Executive Chef Eric Cousin is committed to altering the perception that organic, healthy food is not delicious and, as well as his passion for cooking, he is also very keen to educate the public about healthy eating and wellness, regularly giving lectures and visiting schools and colleges. In line with this ‘Farm to Table’ philosophy Chef’s Garden offers a ‘Young Chefs’ event on a Saturday 9am-11am, priced at 180QR per child in which children learn about ingredients, health and nutrition as well as cooking their own dishes (booking advisable).

The restaurant is family friendly offering a kids zone staffed by childcare specialists with games and colouring stations allowing adults to enjoy their meal whilst having peace of mind that their children are being looked after. A Business Lunch has also been introduced, priced at 75QR for 3 courses it is ideal for those in a hurry as it can be served in 45 minutes.
