For the second consecutive year, Aspire Zone is organising two sessions of its most anticipated summer event, the Aspire Splash & Dash, which will be open to all members of the community. Aspire Splash & Dash will enable both amateurs and experienced athletes to stay fit throughout the summer months from July 1st until August 30th, 2015.

The program will take place from July 1st until the 22nd, every Sunday and Wednesday from 7:00 pm until 9:00 pm, and will be held from July 26th until August 30th, every Sunday and Wednesday from 8:00 pm until 10:00 pm.

The just-for-fun sessions are open to men, women and children, and offer all participants the chance to exercise at their own pace inside the state-of-the-art Aspire Dome Swimming Pool and air-conditioned Indoor Athletics Track. Themixed swimming pool sessions will welcome up to 50 people a day. Similarly, the athletics track will accommodate for another 50 participants.

Commenting on the event, Mr. Abdullah Al Khater , Event Manager at Aspire Logistics said: “Because of the summer heat, people can become lazy and choose to remain indoor to cool off. We want to encourage physical activity and sports throughout the year, even during harsh weather, to prove to the community that there is no excuse for not staying in shape. By gathering 50 participants at a time, we are also encouraging social interaction in a fun atmosphere.”

For those wishing to participate in the event, registration fee is 10 QR and open on-site at the ASPIRE DOME main reception entrance from July 1st to 27th, on Sundays and Wednesdays; from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Alternatively, you can register online from June 1st to August 29th, 2015, by visiting www.lifeinaspire.qa

This event comes as part of Aspire Zone’s indoor fitness initiative, in line with its continuous efforts to support and sustain a healthy population by providing open facilities and a variety of year-round community-focused sports activities.
