Strategic partnership announced between Careem and Ooredoo

Careem, the leading ride-hailing service in the Middle East and North Africa, has announced its strategic partnership with Ooredoo, the leading telecommunications service provider in Qatar. Customers who subscribe to Ooredoo’s Shahry Smart or Qatarna plans will now receive monthly discounts on rides with Careem.

Through this agreement, Ooredoo’s postpaid subscribers are now eligible to enjoy a 20 percent discount on a select number of rides with Careem each month. Customers need only submit a request for a promo code via the Ooredoo app to benefit from the offer; depending on their specific telecom plan, subscribers can receive between one and six of these discount vouchers per month.

This partnership highlights Careem’s commitment to facilitating the lives of local customers, which has distinguished the company and continues to set it apart. The ability to provide reliable, safe, and convenient transport services at a reasonable price is made possible due to the cooperation of its various local and international partners. This recent partnership will expand Careem’s ability to provide an even more elevated quality of service in Qatar.

Also speaking on the occasion, the Director of Public Relations and Communications for Ooredoo in Qatar, Manar Al Mriekhy, said, “We believe that using public transportation is crucial for many of our customers, and thus we are keen to be able to reward them for their loyalty by partnering with a reliable, affordable transportation provider like Careem, allowing them to navigate our beloved Qatar with more ease than ever.”

Per the terms of the partnership agreement, Ooredoo’s Smart 55 subscribers will receive one monthly 20% discount voucher, Smart 100 subscribers will receive two monthly vouchers, Smart 150 subscribers will receive three vouchers, Smart 250 and Qatarna subscribers will receive four vouchers, Smart 450 subscribers will receive five vouchers, and Smart 750 and AlNukhba subscribers will receive six Careem vouchers each month.
