This week we’re featuring Suncart, an at-your-fingertips grocery ordering app.
An innovative app for Apple and Android devices, Suncart is a local incubation startup through Qatar Foundation’s Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP). It’s a delivery platform that allows users to order groceries online for delivery right to their door. Retailers can feature their items on the app and use Suncart’s transportation network to carry out deliveries.
“Suncart is solving every other household’s pain of weekly grocery shopping,” explains Suncart Founder & CEO, Khawaja Jaffer. “We’re bringing a large range of grocery items online, [allowing] you to do your weekly/monthly shopping from your couch, and ditch the billing queues and parking hassles.”
In the hopes of pioneering delivery solutions for businesses within Qatar and the region, Suncart is currently targeting grocery retailers as their first line of service, and eventually have plans to expand its delivery platform to include other retailers such as bakeries, pharmacies, and restaurants.
“We’re also currently working on integrating credit card and debit card payments soon,” continued Jaffer. “Currently we are working on cash on demand and PayPal. We’re also planning to bring ‘Today’ and ‘Tomorrow’ delivery slots where users can select between 2-3 advance time slots during day. Ex: ‘Today’: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., or ‘Tomorrow’ 8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.”
Simplicity and user-friendliness are key within the app. There’s no upfront sign-up when you download and get started, and users can create custom shopping lists and add them to your checkout cart with a single click. Now that’s ajeeb!
