Ooredoo Sponsors Qatari Racing Drivers

Ooredoo has today announced that it is sponsoring two Qatari racers in the country, as part of its commitment to develop Qatar’s sporting talent and promote sports.

The sponsorship agreement will see drifting champion Abdulrahman Ahmed Fakhroo and karting sportsman Ahmad Shaheen Al-Muhannadi sponsored by the company for a year.

The competitors will receive Ooredoo branded vehicles, helmets and jumpsuits as part of the sponsorship.

Drifting competitor Abdulrahman Ahmed Fakhroo has been participating in drifting motorsport professionally since 2015, and recently won the Qatar Redbull Car Park Drift Championship. Ahmad Shaheen Al-Muhannadi is a Qatari karting racer who has competed with elite drivers from across the Middle East and Europe.

Ooredoo’s sponsorship of Abdulrahman Ahmed Fakhroo and Ahmad Shaheen Al-Muhannadiis a part of several initiatives the company has undertaken to encourage sports education and inspire more young people to take-up sport. The company is a major supporter of sport across all levels, grass-root, national and international.

Ooredoo has a history of providing support for racing drivers, previously sponsoring bikers, Mashel Al Naimi and Fahid Al Sowaidi – The Ooredoo Racing Team, and supporting its brand ambassador, racing driver Nasser Al-Attiyah.

Ooredoo has also sponsored the Brawn GP Formula One Team at the Abu Dhabi F1 GP, the FIM Endurance World Championship and Qatar Racing Club.
