What will I be a part of as a volunteer for 2011 DTFF?

The Doha Tribeca Film Festival could not happen without the dedication and hard work of our volunteers. Volunteering is often the first step for people interested in pursuing or advancing a career in the film industry. These positions are unpaid but will provide priceless experience.

Every festival department’s volunteer needs vary in numbers and there is a place for every skill level and experience (from students to mid‑career professionals that are available to help). You could be involved in many different departments prior and during the festival (depending on your availability).

The many departments that are excited to welcome you include Box Office, Broadcast, Communications, Content & New Media, Education, Family Day, Festival Operations, Guest Relations, Guest Services, Hospitality, Industry Events, Marketing, Merchandising, Production, Special Projects, and Venues.

How exactly does it work?

As a volunteer, you can work before the festival, during the festival, or both, according to your schedule and the needs of your department. You will always be in contact with your department’s Volunteer Coordinator to find out information about your shifts.

Volunteers who work just during the festival period are required to commit to at least 3 shifts, which generally will range from three to-six + hours, depending on department assignment.

For every shift you work, you get a voucher. Vouchers can be used to go to screenings or panels.
