JOB OPPORTUNITY

 

POSITION TITLE:  Visa Unit Supervisor (starting basic salary QRs. 161,159 p.a. and allowances Qrs. 114,900 p.a. and other benefits) 

 

DUTIES: The incumbent serves as the Visa Unit supervisor, managing the workflow, scheduling, and quality control for all non-immigrant visa (NIV) and immigrant visa (IV) cases in the Consular section.  The incumbent ensures that all NIV cases are processed efficiently and accurately.  The incumbent also provides daily work assignments to the EFM biometric clerks, Consular associates or summer hires assigned to the Visa Unit. The Visa Unit Supervisor is the in-house expert on all visa matters and would be responsible for adjusting procedures and processes to meet new regulations.

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

 

  1. Education: High school diploma is required.

     

  2. Experience:  Four years of progressively responsible experience in a Consular section or similar position providing direct service to the public while interpreting complex regulations. At least 12 months experience supervising or leading others.

     

  3. Language:  Level IV (fluent) speaking, reading, and writing English required.

 

  1. Knowledge: Requires authoritative knowledge of applicable consular and immigration laws, policies and procedures gained through substantial experience in the subject area in order to interpret and apply to a wide variety of visa cases including local or host country laws relating to immigration to the USA, or national exit visa policies and procedures.

 

  1. Abilities & Skills: The incumbent must be able to effectively manage a busy unit of high performance employees to process all visa services, while operating within U.S. immigration regulations and local circumstances and customs.  The incumbent must possess highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with tact and diplomacy with colleagues and clients.  The incumbent must have accurate clerical skills and prepare fluent written responses to all inquiries.
