Duties to be performed:

  • Provide assistance to DBAC IT Department in day-to-day operations to ensure smooth functions of the organization.
  • PREMIA Insurance application administration and user support.
  • E-Insurance application administration and user support.
  • Interact with software vendors for application support and service related issues.
  • Interact with Doha Bank Group IT for DBAC’s IT related support and service related issues.
  • Troubleshooting of issues on company’s application software Premia & E-Insurance systems and report to vendors for solving the issues.
  • Analyze business functional change / new requirements and prepare required documentations for implementation.
  • Provide IT projects implementation support and coordination with vendors and stakeholders.
  • Perform application patch testing, confirmation and release in production.
  • Evaluate and identify the solutions to cater to the organizations diverse and growing needs.
  • Provide training and assistance on DBAC’s applications to end users.
  • Prepare MIS reports / Ad-hoc reports on business requirements.
  • Any other related duties assigned by the IT Manager.


Education & Experience:

  • University degree in IT/Science/Finance/Insurance or equivalent with IT technical experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ of experience in IT with an insurance company preferably in GCC
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle 10g /11g (Database, SQL/PLSQL, Forms & Reports)
  • Good knowledge in PREMIA Insurance Application administration and user support.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Office Applications
  • Knowledge in General Insurance principles and accounting practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to effectively communicate orally and written.
  • Excellent analytical, logical, trouble-shooting and problem solving skills.
  • Experience in IT project implementation processes and software development life cycle.
